Monthly Birthday Campaign

Starts Feb 2020
Throughout South Africa
R1,500 per birthday
It is a proven fact that people who celebrate more birthdays live longer and tend to be happier than the ones who don't. So it won't really be wrong to say that a birthday has a special significance in our lives. The fact that everyone warms up to us no matter what their personal opinions are is one of the many reasons.

However there are many children from disadvantaged backgrounds that don't get a chance to celebrate a birthday.

The StopBullying Campaign will select 1 child a month and treat them to a surprise-special day on their birthday with their class mates.

Each birthday will include:

- a birthday cake
- snacks and treats for the entire class
- a birthday present
- entertainment via a clown or similar
- a grocery voucher for the parents of the birthday child
- AND a short interactive talk on how to StopBullying under the theme of "Don't Be A Bully Be A Friend"

Total cost R1500

We are looking for partners in cash or kind for this campaign to go ahead successfully.

School Roadshows 2019

Bullying affects our children more than anyone else. The StopBullying Campaign is raising funds to embark on a Schools Roadshow program in 2019 to directly interact with them. We need your help to visit as many Schools as possible

Our Goal

Visit 100 Schools in 2019 reaching out to 75 000+ children

Bullying Occurs Once Every 7 Minutes

Kids who are bullied can experience negative physical, school, and mental health issues.

Kids who are bullied are more likely to experience:

  • Depression and anxiety, increased feelings of sadness and loneliness, changes in sleep and eating patterns, and loss of interest in activities they used to enjoy. These issues may persist into adulthood.
  • Health complaints
  • Decreased academic achievement as they are more likely to miss, skip, or drop out of school.
  • Suicidal tendencies
